Early in his career, from 1989 to 2001, Jonathan was the Founder, Partner, and Chief Financial Officer of Nalli’s Lawn and Landscaping, Inc. In 1999, he joined Community Health Systems as an Intern at Cleveland Community Hospital, progressing up the career ranks to Assistant Administrator of Scott County Hospital from 2000 to 2001, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Jennersville Regional Hospital from 2002 to 2003, Chief Operating Officer at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center from 2003 to 2006, Chief Operating Officer at Chestnut Hill Health System from 2006 to 2007, and Chief Executive Officer of Porter Regional Hospital from 2007 to 2014. 

From 2014 to 2023, Jonathan embarked on a new journey serving in a strategic C-Suite role at Ascension, following a 6-month intense interview process. He functioned as the Ministry Market Chief Executive Officer in St. Vincent, Indiana from 2014 to 2023 and Interim Ministry Market Chief Executive Officer in Michigan from 2022 to 2023. Jonathan paved the way for the organization by steering significant growth, recovering $100M in budget deficit, and increasing income from $159M to more than half a billion dollars. 

During his 8-year tenure, Jonathan boosted net revenue from $2.87B to $3.4B, despite facing nearly $800M in reimbursement erosion. He led a surge in the operating margin from 5.6% to 12.4%, increased in-network utilization from 52% to 87%, and standardized operations across 21 hospitals in Indiana. Jonathan was tasked to address a deficit of $511M in Michigan by introducing new expectations, optimizing leadership and services, and establishing a robust strategic plan, ensuring a break-even within 13 months, reducing the FY 2022 loss by $230M. He served as a key member of the Ascension Smart Health Benefits Executive Committee. 

In 2021, Jonathan founded and performed as a Managing Partner at Nalli Equine, LLC. He is in partnership with Woodford Racing, LLC. In 2023, Jonathan launched Crossroads Momentum, LLC., serving as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer. He leverages deep knowledge and expertise to provide healthcare consulting services and solutions to organizations within the industry. 

Jonathan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Health Administration from the University of Kentucky.
